Bing Dynamic Crawl team is hiring! We are looking for an experienced software engineer with strong programming and design skills, and ability to ship features on schedule. The team is responsible for fetching billions of web pages from the web, and creating innovative methods of web crawl and discovery for richer and safer user experience on a PC and hand-help devices. We are starting a series of innovative projects in the areas of interactive crawling and content discovery, malware detection, crawling performance optimization, web page processing and intelligent preview generation. As a member of the team you will be responsible for prototyping, design and development of highly scalable software solutions for web crawling and data processing utilizing top hardware and infrastructure technologies. You will have an ability to drive your own ideas, and influence everyday experience of millions people in the world.
The position requires the following minimum skills:
-3 years of production experience in C++ or C
-BS in CS, EE or equivalent
-A solid track of shipped projects and features
-Understanding of search engine principles, agility and desire to work and compete in this area
-Experience in one or more of the following is a plus: distributed computing, web crawling, virtualization technologies / Hyper-V, web browsers, web servers, HTTP, TCP/IP, and networking, image processing.
