Maintain the highest level of communications with all customers and internally to accurately coordinate shipping requests while meeting or exceeding customer requirements and/or expectations.
'* Act as plant liaison to assigned customers and maintain customer database information.
'* Develop and publish daily shipping requirements through the use of the customer releases received by EDI and mail and fax.
'* Work closely with master scheduler and production supervisors to ensure customer ship requirements are met.
'* Responsible for planning and filling all customer orders: customer EDI releases (daily and service), dealer direct, engineering change orders (ECO).
'* Set up and log all excess transportation requested by customer.
'* Review Ford status 5 times daily and Chrysler status 4 times daily as requested by customer.
'* Coordinate engineering changes to avoid obsolescence and premium costs.
'* Prepare requested reports in a timely manner.
'* Schedules JIT carriers as specified by customer releases.
'* Serve as back up for other Customer Administrators & Master Scheduler.
'* Maintain SAP data table for SCAC codes as applicable.
'* Maintain finished goods and pull system.
'* Review and respond to ship discrepancies.
