FUJIFILM North America Corporation''s Graphic Systems Division, the largest graphic arts distributor in the US, seeks an experienced and motivated Field Technician, known internally as a Customer Support Technician, to support customers'' wide format equipment in the Chicago, northern Indiana and southern Michigan area. This position will be based out of the Chicago area.
The Customer Support Technician - Wide Format role is responsible for servicing equipment and offering solutions to a customer base within an assigned area. This level Technician will support conventional, high level electronic and related equipment and Wide Format Inkjet Technology and techniques used in the graphic arts industry.
Main Responsibilities Include:

Providing on-site support and repair to Wide Format Inkjet (WF) customers
*
Maintaining close communication with more highly trained technicians and the Technical Phone Support team to ensure accurate resolution of service issues
*
Developing strong working relationships with customers
*
Coordinating installation with customer and service team
*
Performing pre-installation assessment and site inspection on WF equipment in accordance with FUJI equipment requirements
*
Completing and submitting service activity information and paperwork timely to the appropriate group/department
*
Monitoring and managing the return of all parts
*
Managing and completing all Preventative Maintenance requirements
*
Attending training classes to stay current on both new and existing products
*
Provide technical support to other technicians as needed
*
Provide sales assistance in demos and/or customer visits
*
Monitor critical accounts and actively pariticpate in support activities to accomplish quick and effective problem resolution
*
Communicate technical issues to WF service management and technical support group
*
Perform related duties as assigned by manager
Job Requirements
• Two-year electronics degree or equivalent in field experience
• Extensive knowledge in electronics
• Computer skills with emphasis on operating systems and hardware.
• Possess necessary skills/attributes to include excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), working knowledge of Microsoft applications and outstanding customer service.
