The Infrastructure System Integrator will play a key role in leading and supporting an information technology (IT) infrastructure engineering team. The IT infrastructure engineering team includes: Networking, Storage, Windows, Linux, Database, Middleware, Monitoring, and Video. The Infrastructure System Integrator will play a key role in the IT infrastructure engineering organization in supporting project management activities that involve the EEB. This position will serve as a liaison between technical and business experts. Responsibilities include:
?Identification, documentation and coordination of business and system's requirements
?Coordination of customer and team communications
?Development, improvement and execution of internal engineering processes
?Development, and execution of engineering projects that support the mission of the Branch
?Collaboration and coordination with the engineering team to ensure all the IT engineering components are integrated together seamlessly to support the customer's mission
The Infrastructure System Integrator will work closely with the Engineering Manager to ensure the successful implementation of communication, risk, and change management processes. The selected candidate must be able to track project studies, plans, actions items, take minutes, etc. The candidate must be able to provide a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware and software components for a project. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in gathering/identifying requirements. The person will be expected to provide assistance to the engineering team, evaluate and document the engineering process workflow. This person will be responsible for managing/updating branch meeting calendar and project schedules. Other responsibilities include providing frequent contact with the customers, traceability within program documents, and the overall computing environment and architecture.
1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
2. Master's Degree preferred.
8-10 years of related systems engineering experience.
?Demonstrated experience working with IT infrastructure engineers: Network, Storage, Windows, Linux, Database, Middleware, Monitoring, and Video
?Strong understanding of the system engineering life-cycle, as well as the project management life-cycle
?Demonstrated experience in creating and reviewing program documentation, generating formal review documentation, and participating in system and program reviews.
?Demonstrated experience in reviewing program plans and identifying inconsistencies
?Ability to understand engineering designs
?Work with infrastructure engineers and across disciplines to ensure the right plan, design and product is being engineered and implemented
?Ensure all engineering designs are integrated seamlessly and can be executed
?Ensure all build activities are completed as referenced in the engineering diagrams that were drafted and approved for the project
?Provide coordination and input to the engineering designs
?Participation in requirement gathering sessions
?Participation in the engineering peer review
?Work with the engineers to document IT backup, audit, and upgrade processes
?Identifying, recommending, and managing the Integration and Interface requirements and dependencies
?Managing the Engineer Manager's calendar, creating meeting agendas, facilitating meetings, taking minutes, and following up on actions
?Assist the Engineer Managers to prepare executive level briefings
?Maintain the engineering project list
?Ability to interface with Project Managers and provide appropriate engineering update status for certain project
?Successful candidate will be process-oriented, conceptually driven, and possess the ability to think strategically and work collaboratively in the highly technical setting
