Job Title: HR Generalist / Business Partner - OCONUS
Location: Melbourne, FL
Overview: Provide comprehensive Human Resources support to
the organization. Specific areas of
responsibility may include staffing, recruiting,
company on-boarding, employee relations,
compliance, drug & alcohol program management
and/or personnel administration.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S.
Security clearance at the appropriate level
(U.S. citizenship required).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Administer various human resources plans and
procedures for all company personnel; assists in
development and implementation of personnel
policies and procedures, and HR Administration
Manual.
-Collaborate with department team leader to
ensure successful completion of the strategic
goals and objectives and HR department plan.
Recommends new approaches, policies and
procedures to affect continual improvements in
efficiency of department and services provided.
-Collaborate with leadership to provide employee
relations guidance and administrative support
for all domestic and international employees to
include but not limited to: talent acquisition,
succession planning, employee complaints,
performance management, training, education and
development.
- Administer compensation program; monitors
performance evaluation program and revises as
necessary.
-Communicate and administer benefit information
to OCONUS employees.
-Collaborate with department manager to develop
and maintain affirmative action program; files
EEO-1 reports annually; maintains other records,
reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
-Partner with Recruitment Team to assist with
the facilitation of recruitment efforts for all
exempt and nonexempt personnel, interns, and
temporary employees.
-Coordinate and manage company-wide training to
include but not limited to: new employee
orientations, all company benefits programs,
annual benefits open enrollment training, new
AAR policies and procedures, and cross training
and development of HR department team members.
-Collaborate with department team leader to
coach and counsel department employees; assists
with separation procedures to include
outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
-Participate in administrative staff meetings
and attends other meetings and seminars.
-Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and
results of department in relation to established
goals.
-Maintain compliance with federal and state
regulations concerning employment.
-Partner with department manager to coordinate
and administer internal employee engagement
activities to include but not limited to annual
service awards programs and company events.
-Responsible for providing leadership,
communication and direction in the absence of
department team leader in co
Education/
Experience: Required
-B.S./B.A. degree and three (3) to five (5)
years of Human Resource experience OR
-Master's degree in Human Resource Management
and two (2) years of experience in the HR field
or any similar combination of education and
experience.
-Considerable knowledge of principles and
practices of personnel administration.
-Effective oral and written communication skills.
-Strong understanding of HR Best Practices,
policies and procedures utilized in one or more
of the following areas: recruitment, selection,
job descriptions/evaluation and classification,
employee/labor relations, compensation (salary
structures) policies/procedure, salary
administration and HR metrics.
-Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state
and local laws and regulations.
-Excellent knowledge of principles of
Affirmative Action/Equal Employment opportunity,
HIPPA, FMLA, COBRA, Sarbanes Oxley, ADA and FLSA.
-Excellent knowledge of principles and practices
of human resources management.
-Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access,
PowerPoint).
-Proficient in Human Resource Information
Systems (HRIS).
Preferred
-Human Resources certification (PHR)
-2-3 year s previous HR experience in the
aviation industry.
-Proficiency in ADP v5.
General
Comments: Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S.
Security clearance at the appropriate level
(U.S. citizenship required).
Must be able to travel to OCONUS sites at least
25% of the time. (OCONUS sites are located
overseas in austere environments)
